During the 10 days we were living in apt #1, I was pretty sure we had made a terrible decision to live on campus. Now that we live in apt #2, I think I can do it.
Apt #2 is clean…er than the last one. There are no crusty fish in the cupboard, and I’m not scared to touch everything. We are about 1/2 mile up the river from apt #1, and we aren’t as high up (12th floor), so our view is different.
Our location couldn’t be better. Our building is in the same parking lot as the business school, so Peter has a 45 second walk to class every morning. There is also a T stop across the street, so getting around town is easy-peasy.
Our floors aren’t pretty, but they aren’t revolting. Our kitchen is teeny-tiny with a teeny-tiny oven, but it’s not revolting. Our bathroom isn’t pretty, but it’s not revolting.
I figure if I have to live with linoleum floors, I might as well enjoy cleaning them, so I bought myself a stick/hand vacuum. I love it. I’ve been dropping crumbs all weekend just so I have something to clean up. Now I have my eye on a steam mop…
I can do this for two years.
What a funny little stove! It’s like your own little dollhouse!
You can TOTALLY do this! Start thinking about all the things you can spend the $12,000 on, it will make it even better! 🙂
