4th of July in Boston

Last year we spent the 4th of July at the Macy’s Fireworks show over the Hudson River. It’s one of the top five fireworks shows in the country. It was totally awesome.

This year we watched the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, which is also ranked in the top five fireworks shows in the country. It takes place on the Charles River, right outside our living room window. Our building is one of the better places to watch the show.

They set up a huge barge in the middle of the river for the fireworks. This is the view of the barge from our building.

This is the view from the other side of the river.

Tons of boats lined up for the show. Check out all the people camped out on the river bank.

We had some friends over and ate pie while we watched the show. It was totally, totally awesome.

After the show we watched the swarms of people hit the streets. I’m glad I wasn’t one of them.

Sorry we didn’t meet up this year. It would be cool to have the view from your room. We were in Philly with my bro and his fam for a change. Probably not one of the top five fireworks shows in the nation, but pretty good.
